Booking for Group Visit (for any group of 21 persons or more)


Notes for Group Visit


  1. To facilitate a proper arrangement by the Police Museum (hereinafter “the Museum”), advance booking is recommended for any group of 21 persons or more visiting the Museum. All advance bookings will be processed on a first come first served basis.

  2. Subject to the capacity of the Museum and prevailing circumstances, the Museum will accord priority to those groups having booked in advance. For other groups without booking, they may be required to wait outside the Museum pending visiting arrangement.

  3. Opening Hours

    Tuesday to Sunday and Public Holidays: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

    Closed on every Monday (except public holidays), Lunar New Year and the Second Day of Lunar New Year

  4. Inclement Weather Arrangements

    1. Typhoon Signal No.8 or above: The Museum will be closed. The Museum will remain closed if the typhoon signal no. 8 or above is cancelled less than 2 hours before its normal closing time.

    2. Black Rainstorm Warning Signal: If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal has been issued before the opening time of the Museum, the Museum will remain closed until the cancellation of the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal. The Museum will remain closed if the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled less than 2 hours before its normal closing time.

  5. No parking is available at the Museum. Visitors may be picked up / set down at the public carpark nearby. Since the Museum is situated on a hill, visitors are required to access the Museum via a 55-step staircase in front of the main entrance.

  6. Advance booking for group visits should be made at least 14 days before the proposed date of visit. Booking made less than 14 days before the proposed date of visit may not be considered. Should the Museum have any queries on the information provided by the group’s representative (hereinafter “the representative”), the Museum may request the representative to supplement additional information before processing the booking. Advance booking is processed on a first come first served basis and the Museum reserves the right of final decision.

  7. The Museum will notify the representative of the booking result by telephone, email or fax. If the booking is accepted, the representative should confirm with the Museum regarding the date of visit and relevant arrangements. If no reply is received from the Museum three days prior to the proposed date of visit, or if there is any change of information in the booking form or if a cancellation of visit is required, please contact the Museum immediately (Tel: 2849 7019; email: policemuseum@police.gov.hk.

  8. If the representative wishes to cancel the booking, he/she should notify the Museum at least three days prior to the proposed date of visit. If the group fails to turn up as scheduled without reasonable justifications, all subsequent bookings of the group in the following one month will not be considered.
